Amendment XI
The eleventh amendment discusses how states cannot sue others states. The only way they can, is with the permission of the judicial branch or the supreme court.
Amendment XII
The twelth amendment establishes the elctoral college. Also states that there has to be two different elections for the vice president and the president.
Amedment XIII
The thirteenth amendment establishes that slavery or involentaary service is illigal in the United States. The only way this can occur, is if it is punishment for a crime.
Amendment XIV
The fourteenth amendment guarentees the rights of life, liberty, and property to all citizens, either born or naturilized. Also talks about the ability for to US to barrow money and go into debt.
Amendment XV
The fifteenth amendment gives African American males the right to vote. Also gives other men the right to vote not based a race.
Amendment XVI
The sixteenth amendment alows Congress the ability to tax citizens. They can only tax on the income earned by the citizens.
Amendment XVII
The seventeenth amendment talks about the duties of senators. States that their terms last for a span of 6 years. The people elect them instead of the state legislature.
Amendment XVIII
The eighteenth amendment bands the manufactoring, selling, buying, and exporting alchol in the US. Alchol can neither be imported.
Amendment XIX
The nineteenth amendment gives woman the right to vote. This allows all sexes in the US to vote.
Amendment XX
The twentieth amendment discusses and states the dates for members of Congress to take term. Also states the presidnet and Vice President inauguration dates. Talks about what would happen if the president were to die or become unable to serve the rest of his term.
Amendment XXI
The twenty first amendment repeals the 18th amendment. This allows the manufactoring, selling, buying, exporting, and importing of alchol to resume.
Ammendment XXII
The twenty second amendment allows the president to serve for a maximum of 2 terms. That would allow them the serve for 8 years at max.
Amendment XXIII
The twenty third amendment allows people living in Washington DC the ability to vote. They are now able to vote for our Presidnet and Vice President.
Amendment XXIV
The twenty fourth amendment states that there cannot be any poll or other tax at voting booths. This eliminates people being denied this ability due to that they are not able to pass these test or pay the taxes.
Amendment XXV
The twenty fifth amendment discusses what will/would happen of the presidnet were unable to serve their term. Also tells who would fill the vangancy in the Vice Presidnet postion because the Vice President took the place of the President.
Amendment XXVI
The twenty sixth amendment declares the voting age to be 18. This allows you to vote when you first become an adult.
Amendment XXVII
The twenty seventh amendment states that there cannot be a law passed to give memebers of Congress a raise untill after an election has occured. After they are elected in, they can recieve their raise.
